How To Repair A Wobbler On New Holland Haybine
Has anyone had to modify the cutter bar/wobbler side belt on a NH472 haybine? I'm going to have to change mine before I first cutting this yr and from what I tin can run into I've got to disassemble 1/2 the left-hand side (facing forward) of the haybine to change it. Any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave
An operator's manual (p/n 84360896) will requite detailed instructions on the simplest way to change that belt. $31.forty on CD or pdf download, $34.89 in hard copy, all from NH. Or cruise eBay for a cheaper one.

Pull off the bondage, remove the bulldoze shaft and unbolt the gearbox from the side mountain. There is a bearing muzzle underneath the mower above the windrower fly. Remove the fasteners. Then you need to try to remove the locking collar from the bearing and pull off the begetting from the gearbox shaft. My advice? Crack the bearing neckband and the bearing its probably rusted and worn out anyways. Buy a new bearing at TSC or your dealer or online. After that, you can pull out the gearbox and sideslip off the old belt and install a new one. If your mower has a ane manner slip clutch, be carefull Non to drop and lose the springs and pins from the slip clutch muzzle. Examine them for wear and supplant them if they are worn or flat spotted.
Then put her back together. While you are at it, bank check out the wobble box bearings for excessive freeplay, put a new pocketknife bushing in and check the concatenation tensioners for article of clothing. They are just stamped steel sprockets. Exist sure to install the chains so that the rolls are in right position such that the chevrons are in register. Yous might even consider new chain because these units are notorious for stretching chains considering of the way some pto snap clutches piece of work (engagement is non gradual). The new chains might save you from developing fast wear rate on the roll sprockets.
Thanks for the tips!! I've got the service transmission, but in that location's aught like advice from someone who's "been there-done that". We accept a TSC that just opened not as well far from here so I promise they take whatsoever parts I'll need.
Thanks again,
Dave
